Mighty Minis Race Day at Castle Coombe Race Circuit - Saturday 30 September 2006

We were invited by a fab guy, Rodger Tello, who is the organiser of Mini circuit racing in England. Every year Rodger holds a fund raising event where the visiting public pay a fee to be driven round the circuit by the Mini owner. This is not only a fun day for the drivers but offers the public a chance to see whats it's like to be inside a Mini driven at great speed around the track. Rodger kindly made Pete the beneficiary after seeing him on BBC TV and as a result the family went down to meet all at the race day.

Pete's three sons and his wife Julia were taken for a gripping spin around the track and met with organisers of the day who also interviewed Pete over the tannoy. Rodger has raised approx £1,500 for Pete's Fund and the family will accept the cheque on their annual presentation evening on Saturday 21 October.
