I have been touched by your programme I watched over the weekend. You guys are amazing. Good luck to you all in the future. The news is full of horror stories at the moment. It was wonderful to watch something obviously so harrowing, but with light at the end of the tunnel. I wish you love and happiness for the future. xx

I recently watched your programme broadcast on Sky Three and I was so touched by what a close family you all were - the sacrifices you were willing to make, your astounding positivity even after everything that was thrown at you… Your story is truly one of a kind and I don't think I will forget it for a long time.

I think it is great that Pete came through this and that you are now raising awareness and money for this rare condition. My partner Lee had a bleed on the brain in Sept 2006 which turned out to be an AVM that had burst, he has undergone treatment at Charing Cross hospital in London, who have been brilliant, we are waiting for results now to know if it has totally gone. I admire those like Pete and Lee so much for what they go through and think we are the lucky ones to have them. x

Hello Pete,Julie & boys,I have just seen the broadcast & was moved to tears to think that a health service could refuse to operate or fund your surgeries, you see I had life saving brain surgery in 2005 I also had a malformation from birth,my life was saved by Mr Giles Critchly in Sussex,I can only imagine how me & my family would have felt had I been refused treatment, it beggers belief that you & your lovely family were put through extra stress, at a time when it was the last thing you needed, your health authority should be ashamed of themselves-God bless you all.

Your children are an absolute credit to you and to have dealt with everything the way they have is admirable. So, good luck to you all for a very positive future. All the very best. Debbie x

Pete & Family, I couldn't help but get touched and moved by your emotional story. We unfortunately live in a world of despair and sadness with some members of the community who have no regard for themselves or others. It is hugely re-assuring to know that someone like you and your family are honest and dedicated people who not only work hard to achieve but hugely appreciate help from others. As a new dad myself (Esme Grace - 5 weeks old), I can't begin to imagine what it must have been like for you to know that your boys who were so young at the time could be without a father. I am over the moon that everyone pulled together and raised the money for that major operation you were in desperate need of. It warms my heart to hear that you made a full recovery and are able to share many more years of happiness with your family. Your wife is an inspiration and a real credit, she must be such a determined and committed woman who never gave up - A gift to this world! I wish you every success and happiness in the future and live your life to the full as I know you will. You are an inspiration to us all. God bless you Paul Dann (South Tyneside)

I have just watched your programme and have to say I am in awe at what I have just seen. I was in tears all the way through the tissue box is now empty!! I then became angry at how you were treated by the PCT. The bravery, courage and love you and your family & friends have for each other has made me very humble. I am sure this has helped aid your recovery. Seing how everyone came togeather to raise the funds restores my faith in humanity when there is so much violence and anger out there these days. Good luck in the future you are all an inspiration. What a wife! As a woman working full time I wish I could find half the energy she had in a day, let alone the years.

10 years ago, when I was just 16, I had an AVM. I was one of the lucky ones; I got emergency surgery on the NHS straight away. Having, incredibly, survived the surgery I had to undergo several years of Physiotherapy and Speechtherapy and I devdoloped some aspects of Dysexecutive Syndrome. Ten years on I still have only 70% sensation on the left hand side of my body and when I get tired the left side of my face drops a tiny bit. Most peeps dont notice. :) Oh, and I cant smell anything through my right hand nostril! Strange... I caught your programme completely by accident and it struck me so hard. What an incredible family you are, truly inspiring. I wish I could meet you, even if just to trade stories! :) I wish you every future happiness, you deserve it so much! You are all incredible! Hi there I caught the programme on sky this morning. My daughter, Maria was born with a cavernous haemangeoma on her forehead, a very very similar thing to Pete's but in the skin. Maria's was attached to the veins that feed her eye's and the forward part of her brain. She has had embolisms and also many operations similar to Pete's with the cut across the top of her head. She had all these done at the Radcliffe Infirmary in Oxford between the ages of 7 and 10. She is now a beautiful 21 year old and lives life to the full. I wish you and all your beautiful family success and health in the future. Helen xXx
